Left part is my cooling zone / Metal tile used for thermal exchange. It was in progress, everything will be pumped into my power plant to the left.Īt the bottom i have a carbon skimmer, so i pump the polluted water created by generator to the sieve, use that water in the carbon skimmer, so it will consume all the co2 and i'm left with free dirt in the process :) It is my external base :) only accessible with exosuits ! I was about to leech that into the two gas generator you can see at the left :) LOL yes, the left side is my deposit of chlorine, and gas generated by fertilizer. This is the setting I dit in my last save : In the long term, it will become hot and hot, and even hoooooooooot, and then the cool steam vent will not release water, but steam instead, because water will become steam degree C, which is not what you want, you want it to remains below this temp, so it will erupt water. The only thing you need is cooling the area of the geyser, else, you'll just have steam, and not water. And if you use it in your electrolizer, no need to cool water at all, it accepts any temp, and will result in a fixed 40° oxygen anyway. ![]() TBH, using aquatuner is way better to do that. I assume that he is using a radiant pipe radiator to cool his water. The switch in the water is used to activate or not your pump, depending on the mass of the water in the tile where your sensor is. The switch on the geyser is just something which means that your scientist analyzed the geyzer, which leads you to know when is the erupt phase, the dormant period, and the quantity generated during eruption. Why don't you have filters there to suck it out or remove it? :oĪlso, why do the top half with metal on the box? Does it spread the temperature down to the igneous faster condensating it quicker to make the water appear more quickly? Your base to the left looks like the smogfilled poison air of Detroit. This is the temp overlay of my heat exchanger :Īfter only 15-20 cycles, look at the water I have :) So to summarize, i tank the heat, and move that it to my WW submerged in hydrogen. The goal of tempshift is to tank the heat, and then realease it when it is full. The statue close to the geyser are made of granite, same, to tank it.Ĭlose to the metal tile (made of gold), which is a heat exchanger, the statue and tempshift are made of obsidian, so it realease the heat faster to the metal tile. ![]() The tempshift close to the cool steam vent are made of igneous rock, in order to tank the heat of the geyser. Please my post on another thread about taming the beautiful source of water : Thank you in advance and nice mermaid statue by the way.I assume you have a Master Artist? So if I am missing something here, I would appreciate an explanation, as I like to learn. When I finally "succeeded" last night, just to lose to having too many dupes and slowly starving to death, in containing the geyser, I just built the igneous rock walls, the galagold pump thingy, and then just had my pipes lead down to my electrolizers and water containment areas to build back up my reserves and seemingly had no issues. my newbishness, but what the heck are all those knobs, switches and things you put on the geyser and around it?Īlso why did you build interwinding pipes going around back and forth? If water temp too high u can rebuild left container wall to metalic and put some cooling plants. Originally posted by DiWorm:My best practice for coolant steam vent.
